Platform Engineering · Information Management

Stijn & Co.

I'm Stijn. I build private cloud platforms and lead as information manager — backboned by open source and custom AI solutions that earn their keep.

Platform engineering

Private cloud platforms built on open source — paved paths, sensible defaults, and an operating model your teams can actually live with.

Information manager

Leading the information function when the moment calls for an experienced hand. Hands-on, accountable, focused on outcomes.

Data governance

Frameworks for ownership, quality, lineage and access — so information stays trustworthy and teams stay unblocked.

Process lifecycles

Designing and operating the lifecycle around platforms and information — intake, change, release, ownership — so the work keeps moving after I leave.

About

12 years in, and still building.

I've been working in IT since 2014 — over 12 years across engineering, architecture and information management. I stay close to what's being built now, so the platforms and tooling I deliver reflect where the technology is headed, not just where it's been. These days I'm managing partner at Cloudgenio, where we help organisations run serious workloads on private cloud built from open source.

The work I take on personally sits at the intersection of platform engineering and information management — the messy middle where technology, data and the people around them have to actually line up. I prefer engagements with real accountability over advisory at a distance.

Hands-on

interim & platform work

How an engagement usually starts

01

A short call

Thirty minutes to understand the situation and whether I'm the right fit. No pitch.

02

A small first step

A scoped review, architecture sketch or interim handover plan — something useful within weeks, not months.

03

Delivery, then handover

I work alongside your team, document as I go, and leave it in a state others can run with.

A short note is enough — tell me the situation you're in and I'll come back within two working days, honestly, whether or not I'm the right fit.
